What is Ambital?
Ambital is business management software for independent consultants, fractional leaders, freelancers and teams of up to five. It combines projects and tasks, a branded client portal, CRM and pipeline, proposals, contracts and e-sign, timesheets, invoicing and forecasting, with an AI assistant called Ambi that works from your own data.
Who is Ambital for?
Ambital is for people who sell their time and expertise to several clients at once: consultants, fractional CFOs, CTOs and CMOs, marketing freelancers, project managers, designers, developers, coaches and sales consultants, and small firms of up to five people.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan covers 2 active projects and 3 clients, with time tracking, every billing model and 100,000 AI tokens a month. No card is needed.
How much does Ambital cost?
Ambital costs £0 (Free), £39 (Pro), £59 (Business) or £79 (Business Pro) a month for one person, and £150 a month for Teams of up to five people. Prices are flat, not per seat.
Does Ambital replace my accounting software?
No. Ambital raises invoices and syncs them with your accounting software (Xero today, with FreeAgent and QuickBooks coming), so your accountant keeps working where they already do while you see billing, margin and forecasts alongside your projects.
Can my clients log in?
Yes, on Business Pro and above. Each client gets invitation-only access to a portal for their projects, and you choose what they can see item by item. Clients can approve work from an email link on Business and above, no login needed.
Does Ambi send anything to my clients?
No. Ambi reads your meetings, emails, tasks and invoices to answer questions and draft updates, but nothing reaches a client until you send it.
Which email and calendar accounts can I connect?
Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 accounts on any domain, including mailboxes a client has issued you. Free includes 2 accounts, Pro 3, Business 5, Business Pro 10 and Teams 15.
