Ambital

For freelance project and programme managers

Project delivery software for freelance project managers

Ambital gives freelance project and programme managers one place to run delivery for several clients: phases and milestones, a Gantt, a RAID log and decisions, change requests, status updates the client reads in their portal, timesheets and invoices.

Most project managers choose Business · £59/month

Ambital project overview for a warehouse system rollout: at risk on day 40 of 75, with margin, time, tasks and open risks

Sound familiar?

Where delivery projects usually slip

“The status report takes half of Friday.”

Ambital drafts the status update from the project's own tasks, milestones, risks and hours. You edit for judgement, set the RAG rating and send it or publish it to the portal.

Status updates →

“Nobody can find what was decided, or when.”

Risks sit in a RAID log with owners, ratings and mitigations. Decisions record who decided what, the options weighed and why, and the client sees the ones you share.

RAID log and decisions →

“Scope crept and the fee didn't.”

A change request records what changed, its cost against the fee and who agreed, so extra work is priced before it is done.

Project and programme management questions

Straight answers

Does Ambital have a Gantt chart?
Yes, on every plan. The Gantt draws itself from a project's phases, sections and tasks, moving a phase moves everything under it, and it exports to PDF.
Can clients see the project plan?
Yes, on Business Pro and above. You choose which tabs the client portal shows, and you can hide individual phases, sections and tasks.
Is there a RAID log?
Yes, on every plan. Each project has a risk log with RAG ratings, owners and mitigations, and a decision log with who decided what and why.
Which plan do project managers choose?
Most choose Business at £59 a month, because it includes the client portal, approvals and publishing status updates to the portal.
Can I work from a client's own email account?
Yes. Connect the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account a client issued you alongside your own, and email files itself to the right project. Free includes 2 accounts, Pro 3 and Business 5.
