Campaigns with client sign-off, a launch checklist and results

Ambital's Campaigns tab gives each piece of marketing a home on the client's project: the brief, the deliverables and the version the client approved, a pre-launch checklist the client ticks, tracking links and QR codes that count real clicks, and results against spend. One campaign for a launch, or one a month on a retainer.

Ambital Campaigns: every live client campaign on one page, each with its meetings booked, leads, clicks and spend

What your client sees

The campaign in their portal

  • The deliverables waiting on them, with versions to compare and approve
  • The launch checklist, which they tick themselves, stamped with who and when
  • Key dates on their portal calendar: brief due, creative deadline, launch, in market until
  • The results you choose to show, measure by measure
  • Never the spend or the cost per meeting unless you switch them on

What you control

The record of what went out

  • The version the client approved is locked as the version that shipped
  • Required checklist items hold the launch until they are ticked
  • Tracking links and QR codes that never change once printed
  • Spend from the bills you tag, so nothing is counted twice
  • A results webhook for Calendly, Typeform, HubSpot, Zapier or Make

How it works

From brief to results in four steps

  1. Step 1: Set up the campaign

Name, type, channels, objective, audience size, key dates, fee and spend budget. Choose whether the client sees it.

  2. Step 2: Add the deliverables

The letter, the post, the ad set, each with an owner and a drop date. Adding one can raise its approval in the same click.

  3. Step 3: Get the checklist ticked

Every campaign type comes with a checklist. The client ticks it in the portal or from an emailed link, and required items hold the launch.

  4. Step 4: Launch and read the results

Tracking links count clicks from the moment they go out. Meetings booked come first, then the measures for this kind of campaign against spend.

Inside campaigns

What a campaign holds

Campaign deliverables by channel, each with an owner, dates and sign-off, then the client's pre-launch checklist

Deliverables and the version that shipped

Each piece of creative is a deliverable with its own approval. When the client approves, that version is locked. A later upload reads 'Locked v2, draft v3 pending', so 'was it v3 or v4 that went out?' has an answer.

The Campaigns page of the client's portal: deliverables with their sign-off and the pre-launch checklist

The client's checklist

Address list confirmed, copy approved, proof approved, quantity confirmed. Rename, reorder or add items and mark each one required. The client ticks them, and every tick is stamped.

Tracking links with their clicks, the campaign calendar, and results: meetings booked, spend and cost per meeting

Tracking links and QR codes

Short links on the Ambital domain that count every real click on the way to the destination, with crawlers counted separately. UTM tags if you want them, and a QR code as PNG or SVG for print.

Results against spend

Meetings booked first, because that is what the campaign was for. Then pieces sent, impressions, opens or attendees against spend, with cost per meeting worked out. Each number says whether it is live, recorded or derived.

The campaign calendar

A lane for key dates, one per channel for drops and posts, and the project's milestones inside the window. Change a date on a deliverable and the calendar moves with it.

Every campaign, across clients

Work shows every campaign you run for clients, grouped by client with the headline numbers rolled up. Business does the same for your own marketing. Ambi drafts the results paragraph for the status update.

Questions about campaigns

Before you set up your first campaign

Which projects get a Campaigns tab?
Choosing Marketing campaign, Social media management or Paid ads management when you create a project switches the tab on. On any other project, turn it on under Settings, then Tabs. A project can hold several campaigns, so a retainer runs one a month.
Does the client's audience list come into Ambital?
No. The audience is a count and a link to where the list lives, so there is no personal data to look after.
How do clicks get counted?
Each tracking link is a short link on the Ambital domain. Clicks by real browsers are the headline number; crawlers and link previewers are counted separately. No IP address is ever stored.
Can meetings booked fill in by themselves?
Yes. Switch on the results webhook and anything that can send JSON, such as Calendly, Cal.com, Typeform, HubSpot, Zapier or Make, posts a lead, meeting booked, reply or sale event straight to the campaign.
Where does spend come from?
From the bills you tag to the campaign. A tagged bill also counts against the project's margin, as any project bill does, so nothing is double-counted. Spend is hidden from the client unless you show it.
Which plan includes campaigns?
Campaigns are included on Business and above: Business (£59 a month), Business Pro and Teams. Business includes 50 live tracking links; the plans above are unlimited.
