Services and service menus

Describe what you sell once, share a menu with a prospect, and get their choices back as a pipeline deal and a draft proposal.

Business Pro plan and above

Business → Services is your catalogue: the audits, packages, retainers and campaigns you sell, each with a pitch, a description, images, links, deliverables, a price and a few questions. A service menu is a chosen set of those services shared with one prospect as a link. What they tick comes straight back into Ambital.

Build the catalogue

  1. Go to Business → Services and click New service, or Start from a starter to copy one of the ready-made ones (website audit, brand audit, discovery sprint, workshop day, monthly board pack, fractional retainer, campaign, social media management).
  2. Give it a name, a one-line pitch and a description (Markdown works). Add images — the first one is the card's picture — links to case studies, and what the client gets.
  3. Set the price: a fixed price, a "from" price, a per-unit price (per day, per page), a recurring fee, or price on application.
  4. Choose the kind of work it becomes and, if you like, a project template. When a prospect says yes and the proposal is accepted, the project starts with that purpose and that template's phases, tasks and invoice schedule.
  5. Add questions to ask when someone picks it: short or long answers, pick-one, pick-several, yes/no or a number.

Archive a service to take it off menus without deleting it. Drag order is the order services appear on menus.

Payment links can be saved on a service now but aren't shown to prospects yet. Taking payment through the link is coming; you'll see the badge change when it does.

Send a menu

  1. On the Menus tab, click New menu. Give it a title and an intro, tick the services to include, and add any questions you want answered once (about their business, say).
  2. Optionally name the recipient, add their email, link an existing company, and set an expiry date for the link.
  3. Click Send. With an email address, Ambital emails them a branded link; without one, you get the link to share yourself. Either way you can Copy link, Open it, or download the menu as a PDF to attach to your own email.

The link needs no account. Your prospect sees the services, ticks what they want, answers the questions, adds a note and sends it back. They can download the PDF too.

What comes back

When a prospect submits a menu, Ambital:

  • creates the company as a prospect in Clients (or matches them to an existing company by email or domain) and adds the contact;
  • adds a deal to the Pipeline, valued at the indicative total of what they chose;
  • creates a draft proposal with the chosen services as deliverables and pricing lines, and every answer quoted in the intro so you edit from a real starting point;
  • emails you.

From there it's the normal flow: edit the proposal, send it, and when they accept, the project is created. Each menu shows what came back under What came back, with links to the proposal, the pipeline and the company.

A submitted menu is frozen; to offer something different, create a new menu. Withdraw turns a link off; Reopen turns it back on.

Who can see what

Menus and the pages they open are branded with your logo and colour, and white-labelled on Business Pro and Teams. Prospects never see payment links or anything outside the menu.

Services and service menus are included from the Business Pro plan.

Where this fits

Part of how Ambital runs audits and assessments and packaged services. Each page shows how the project is set up, what it looks like, and the integrations that fit.
