Reports and forecasting
Where your time really goes, what it earns, and what's coming next.
Two pages answer the questions that decide your next quarter: Reports (what happened) and Forecast (what's coming).
Reports
Reports → Business reads across every project at once. The headline view splits your hours three ways — live client projects, internal projects and My Business itself — which is the fastest honesty check available: how much of your week is actually billable delivery, and how much is running the machine?
From there, reporting covers time, revenue, margins and profitability across projects and clients. Core reports come with the Pro plan; advanced reports come with Business and above, and the custom report builder, where you compose, save and schedule your own views, comes with Business Pro and above.
Saved reports keep your regular views one click away, so "the monthly numbers" stops being a rebuild.
Forecast
Business → Forecast looks past what you've already billed. Drawing on retainers ahead, work in progress, secured engagements and the weighted pipeline, it shows revenue as it's shaping up — the difference between knowing this month was fine and knowing whether October is.
The same forward view appears in miniature on the dashboard's Forward revenue band (WIP · Secured · Pipeline).
Pick vs [scenario] to put a second pricing scenario alongside the one you're tracking. Both lines are booked + pipeline + targets per month — the same stack as the main chart. Pipeline is counted per scenario: a deal linked to one of a scenario's target lines is counted inside that line, not as pipeline, so if one scenario links a deal and the other doesn't, the comparison flags it — link the deal to the matching target so it isn't counted twice.
Portfolio — for multi-organisation accounts
On Business Pro, the Portfolio page runs all your organisations on one screen — every org's projects, hours, revenue and outstanding invoices, one click apart. It's the owner's view for people running more than one business; see Plans and billing.
Tip: the forecast is only as good as its inputs — stale pipeline stages and unclosed retainer months are the two things that quietly bend it. Keep those honest and the forecast earns your trust.
