Personal workspace

A private space for your own tasks, notes and personal inboxes — outside your business data.

Personal on the rail down the left (the pink one, on Pro and above) is a space that belongs to you, not your organisation: your own to-do list, quick notes, and a live view of the email accounts and calendars you flag as personal. Nothing in it appears in projects, reports, timesheets, the portal — or to anyone else with a seat in your organisation.

Tasks

Personal → Tasks is a simple list: add items, tick them off, give them due dates, and group them into flat sections (there are deliberately no phases here — it's a to-do list, not a project plan). Deleting a section keeps its tasks, moving them back to "No section".

Notes

Personal → Notes is a private scratchpad. Notes save as you go and are only ever visible to you — unlike the Notes inbox under Inbox, they never route to projects or meetings.

Meetings

Personal → Meetings is your own diary: the last and next 30 days from the calendars you've flagged personal, grouped by day, with a link out to Google or Outlook to open the event itself.

It is deliberately not the Inbox → Meeting notes page, and there are no notes on it. A personal account is excluded from every business sync, so Ambital holds no meeting record, transcript or attendee list to hang notes off — what you see is fetched live from the provider each time you look, and stored nowhere.

Personal email and calendar

Under Personal → Emails, flip any of your connected Google or Microsoft accounts to Personal. That does two things:

  • Keeps it out of your business workspace. A personal account is excluded from calendar sync, email sync and project linking, so a calendar you only use to block time out — or your personal inbox — never shows up in Meeting Notes or on projects.
  • Shows it here instead. Its inbox appears under Personal → Emails and its calendar under Personal → Meetings, fetched live from Google or Microsoft each time you look. Ambital stores none of it, so disconnecting the account removes every trace.

Connect accounts in the usual place — Settings → Integrations — then flag them personal here.

With more than one personal account connected, the Emails page lists them down the left — click one to read just that inbox (searches run against it alone too), or All accounts for everything merged. Meetings has the same account filter across the top.

The Personal dashboard

Choose Personal in the switch at the top of Home and the dashboard shows your open tasks, your latest notes, and the week ahead from your personal calendars.

Where this fits

Part of how Ambital runs interim and embedded roles. Each page shows how the project is set up, what it looks like, and the integrations that fit.
