Early
Time tracked in the Early app, synced straight into your Ambital timesheets.
If you track time in Early, the integration saves you entering it twice: tracked entries sync from Early into your Ambital timesheets automatically.
Connecting
Go to Settings → Integrations and connect the Early card. You then set up mappings — which Early projects and activities correspond to which Ambital projects — so entries land against the right work without manual filing.
How the sync behaves
- Automatic, twice a day — no button to remember.
- 60-day rolling window — entries you add or correct retroactively in Early still get picked up, so a Friday tidy-up of Tuesday's tracking flows through.
- Synced entries appear in your timesheets like any other logged time, feeding budgets, retainer burn and billing exactly as hand-entered hours do.
Early or the desktop tracker?
They solve different problems: Early is a time tracker you drive deliberately; the desktop activity tracker records what happened for you to turn into logged time afterwards. Use whichever matches how you work — or Early for deliberate client tracking and the activity tracker as the safety net.
If entries aren't appearing
Check the mapping first — an Early activity with no Ambital mapping has nowhere to land. Then the card's connection status; the general checklist is in Sync and connection problems.
